Press Release
A NEW CHURCH FOR CIBOLA?
In response to Gods calling, Palo Verde Christian Fellowship and Light of the Lamb embrace the Cibola community

Ramona, CA. April 27, 2010:
Pastor Royal Churchill of Palo Verde Christian Fellowship, and Mark Baker, Sr., an outreach minister of Light of the Lamb, an intercessory ministry, have been led to open a church in Cibola, AZ.
The previous church, First Southern Baptist Church, was swept away in a series of tornadoes 2 years ago, leaving only a concrete slab in its wake. Due to recent legislative restrictions imposed by the County, and the clean water act, new construction is not an option to rebuild the much needed church in Palo Verde.

Joining forces

“After praying for guidance toward a new location we believe we have found it in Cibola, AZ.” said Mark. Now they need $40,000 to acquire adequate facilities for the church as well as a community food bank. Though a daunting task for the tiny California border town of 643, it’s not impossible. Project Care and Share of Ramona, Ca. is working towards that goal.
Project Care and Share, a division of Light of the Lamb, has been working closely with Pastor Royal Churchill and other Palo Verde community members over the past two years, distributing anywhere from one to two tons of various food items once every 2 weeks there and to the surrounding townships.

As well as working in Imperial County, over the past several years Project Care and Share has been involved in many activities locally, including free hot meals for the Ramona community and vital assistance to emergency crews during The Witch Creek Fire. Now, Project Care and Share is asking the public for help. “There are over 40,000 people in Ramona alone,” says Mark, “if each one donated one dollar, we would have the payment.” Light of the Lamb Ministry holds services on Sundays, fresh produce distribution on Fridays and a free hot meal every Thursday evening. All are welcome.
